Saturn V - The Second Largest Model We've Ever Made

Saturn V space model rocket

In 2010 we were subcontracted by Guard-Lee to help them with a contract they got from a museum in Colombia.

They needed a 1/25 scale Saturn V model rocket as well as a 1/25 scale Mercury-Redstone, Gemini Titan II, and the Space Shuttle.

They had so much on their plates they weren’t able to build these models themselves, and asked us to take on the job.

We were delighted to do so, but it turned out to be a pretty huge job—literally. The models we made for this job were some of the biggest we’ve ever made. The Mercury-Redstone measured 3 feet in length, the Gemini Titan II was 4.5 feet long, and the space shuttle was 8 feet long. And the Saturn V model rocket measured a whopping 16 feet in length!

It took a lot of teamwork from some very talented and creative individuals to get those models done but we were very proud of the finished product. That giant Saturn V model rocket stands out as one of my favourite models we’ve ever made.
